Saffron
Saffron is the world’s rarest and most expensive spice. Saffron can only be harvested manually and in small amounts from a flower called Crocus Sativus. The stigma of the saffron flower is harvested and after drying it is used for seasoning and coloring food. Most of the sources consider Iran as the birthplace of saffron.
This plant can be used to treat depression, prevent multiple spasms and muscle pain. Saffron is a suitable and preventive option for heart diseases and cancer. It strengthens memory and regulates blood pressure. Saffron plant is used in the treatment of asthma, skin diseases, eye diseases, urinary infection, jaundice, stomach bloating, stomach pain and anemia.
